Sunday Photo Fiction – July 3rd 2016

There was a little confusion over last week’s image. It was actually a Trebuchet. It’s a siege device that was designed to hurl things at castle walls to bring them down. They used counterweights to throw the arms and give more force behind the blows. There is a videa that I shared on a couple of blogs of one in Warwick Castle being used. It is the biggest working trebuchet in the world and is used daily.

The idea of Sunday Photo Fiction is to create a story / poem or something using around about 200 words with the photo as a guide. It doesn’t have to be centre stage in the story, I have seen some where the placement is so subtle, the writer states where it is.
